Born on a self-sustaining Mennonite farm in Central Ohio, Devin grew up steeped in the joy of food, family, and service. His first (paying) job was cooking at a short order diner near his high school, and from this point, it was apparent that the love affair with food he learned from his family, work ethic, and passion for service would take him far. Throughout his 30-plus year in the service industry, Devin has worked from the dish room to the boardroom and everywhere in between! He has managed both front and back of the house in concepts from quick service to fine dining, off-site catering to vending services. Devin has had success for companies such as Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Panera Bread, Hooters of America, and Bruegger’s Bagels. Devin has successful experience with multi-unit management, commissary production, operations, contract negotiations, packaging, logistics/distribution, and facility construction, and has won DM of the year for Panera Bread, New Store of the Year for Bruegger’s Bagels, and the highly coveted “Milk Shake” award from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. His passion lies with finding the right person for the right role and watching them grow and succeed.
After opening restaurants across the country and living in Ohio and Michigan, Devin now calls sunny Sarasota home and can be found at dance competitions and baseball tournaments with his three children or walking in the woods with his German Shorthaired Pointer Brownie.
