Julie Sarris
Julie was born and raised in Pennsylvania and started learning about the food and hospitality industry at a young age. Her grandfather owned a diner in New York, and her father spent his entire career working for big name hospitality organizations, like Sodexo. Julie had her own introduction to the food service world when she turned 16, starting off as a waitress in a local retirement community. From there she held jobs as a waitress, dishwasher, and line cook at multiple restaurants including Chili’s Bar and Grill, Starbucks, and Panera Bread. After several years of working, Julie began her management experience which quickly led to her passion for leadership, and in 2018 she took on the role of Director of Operations for Panera Bread. Being able to help people develop and grow to their full potential is what gave her the most joy.
While working in a multi-unit leadership position, Julie also attended Arizona State University to complete her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. Having conceptual learning paired with hands-on leadership experience, she has a deep understanding of what it takes to lead in the food and beverage industry, and how to find the right people to do the job.
The passion Julie has for running a great business has led her to realize her true talent in people selection. Being able to play an integral role in supporting people find the job that they can grow and excel at is what drives her to be a great recruiter, and she believes there is nothing better than sharing the excitement of a new job opportunity with an eager individual.
