Michael graduated from Paul smith’s College and the Rochester Institute of Technology for Hospitality Management. During school, Michael worked in a growing restaurant company in upstate NY. He became a trainer and traveled to several cities to open new restaurants. Upon completion of his degree, he begins his management career with Red Lobster, which at the time was part of General Mills. Michael became a GM in just three short years at the ripe age of 23. He earned the position in Rego Park Queens, which at that time, was the 5th busiest location in the company. Michael moved from Queens to Long Island to work for Red Robin as a GM. After two years he was promoted to Area Director. Michael left Red Robin to start a Steak House operation with Mario Sbarro and Anthony Scotto. Michael became the director of Operations and built the 11 unit Boulder Creek Steak House chain. From there, Michael went on to the Rain Forest Café as the Director of Operations. From Rainforest Michael moved to NYC as DM to open the flagship store for COSI in Union Square. At that time, COSI was co branding the two brands of Cosi and Xando Coffee Bar. After September 11th, Michael joined the Grand Lux Café as a Fast Track Manager. The GLC was to be the new growth vehicle of the Cheesecake Factory. Michael became on of the first successful fast trackers and certified for the position of GM in just 12 months during the first year of operation in a $12M operation. Michael left the GLC after five years and opened the very first Panera Bread in NYC as a GM. Michael has joined the EHS team as the owner of the NY, NJ and CT markets.
