Samantha Farmer joined the EHS Denver team following adventurous life and career paths centered around the hospitality realm.
Originally from Albuquerque, NM, Sam’s earliest memories are in kitchens with her mother, a former professional chef. She split her childhood years between New Mexico, England and Spain, traveled extensively through Asia and Europe as an adult, then moved to Boulder on a whim in 2012.
Sam has a diverse professional background in media and culinary endeavors, including work as a food and beverage reporter for multiple Colorado publications, involvement in marketing campaigns for small wine companies and national restaurant brands, judging food and booze festivals and working on the technical side of the craft beer industry. A self-proclaimed “industry kid” at heart, Sam has served steaks on white tablecloths, sushi on food trucks and cocktails on airplanes.
She has never had a job she hasn’t loved – something (in addition to her travels and life experiences) that led her to recruiting and gives her a keen eye for helping folks find fulfilling jobs along their own career paths. Staying close to the industry and interacting with candidates and clients also bring her joy.
What else brings Sam joy? Running, hiking, rock shows, Japanese food, New Mexican red and green chile…and hanging out with her devious corgi, Baloo.
